Company brochure

Sonic logging pipe

A steel access tube cast into a bored pile so an ultrasonic probe can travel the length of the shaft. The brochure treats the joint and the layout as part of the test, not as an afterthought.

Cross-hole sonic logging needs a clear, stable path for the probes. The brochure says the tube arrangement should be on the pile drawing, and that placement on site has to be controlled if the test is going to mean anything.

This is a site accessory sold with the geosynthetics range. It is not a ground-reinforcement product.

What the brochure emphasises

  • Provides the channel for ultrasonic probes inside a cast-in-place pile.
  • Joint type changes how reliably the tube stays aligned and sealed.

Uses named in the brochure

  • Integrity testing of bored piles by cross-hole ultrasonic logging.

Laying notes printed in the brochure

These are the manufacturer’s notes. They do not replace the project specification or the engineer’s method statement.

  • Put the tube layout on the pile drawing before construction.
  • Control embedment and joint quality on site. The brochure says both affect the reading.
