Dimpled drainage board

A studded sheet in high-impact polystyrene, with a geotextile filter on the studs. The brochure discusses the PSD10 (103) board.

The sheet is described as able to carry the weight of a concrete slab and the traffic of construction — vehicles, foot traffic, and the impact of a concrete pour — without closing the drainage gap.

The geotextile is there to keep soil and concrete out of the channels. The brochure compares the board with stone, ceramsite and other filter layers for retaining walls, basements, tunnels, slopes, planters and podium decks, and for highway subgrades.

What the brochure emphasises

  • Reserved drainage path under a slab or against a wall.
  • Filter fabric over the studs.
