Company brochure

Biaxial polypropylene geogrid

Polypropylene sheet, extruded, punched and stretched in both directions. The brochure presents it as an interlock system for permanent loaded ground.

Stretching in the machine and cross directions is what gives the ribs their tensile strength. In soil, the open apertures are meant to lock with aggregate and spread load.

A numerical grade table is printed. The scan does not support a cell-by-cell copy, so tensile values are not listed here.

What the brochure emphasises

  • Raises bearing capacity and the service life of a subgrade or foundation.
  • Limits rutting and cracking at the surface.
  • Can reduce the thickness of a granular layer, where the design allows it.
  • Described as a support for vegetated slope mats.
  • The brochure also names a use as a substitute for steel mesh in a coal-mine false roof.

Uses named in the brochure

  • Embankments and subgrade reinforcement.
  • Slope protection and tunnel-wall reinforcement.
  • Airfields, car parks and quay yards.
  • Culverts, where the brochure claims a reduction in cracking.

Index table

A numerical table is printed for this product. It is not copied here, because the scanned cells could not be read without guessing. Ask for the current data sheet with your enquiry.
